To achieve this everyday make up look, it takes a few simple steps. Starting from the base I use Rimmel lasting finish make-up 8Hr wear primer. which is one of my most recent purchases, I haven’t been a primer buyer for long and I believe I’ve only ever brought two. I find some days my skin can be problematic with dry patches but this primer seems to smooth all this over, leaving a nice finish.
I then go on to foundation using the Maybelline super stay 24Hr, in the shade Ivory. This has been a constant repurchase since I properly started wearing make-up. It has such great coverage and matches my skin tone perfectly, I blend it in using my make-up revolution beauty blender after its been dampened.
For brightening I then go on to use the miss sporty perfect stay 10Hr liquid concealer in the shade 001 light and I place it under the eyes and on any redness still seen, then again I use the beauty blender. To mattify all this I use my collection sheer loose powder in the shade 2 translucent. I start off with baking under the eyes then a quick brush over all the face.
Using my Make up Revolution ultra eye shadows in Flawless matte, I use a mix of three different shades blending each one out after each application. Then to add one of my favourite parts, My Supercat liquid black eyeliner pen. Creating my most used look of just a simple curve. To finish my eyes I use my newest purchase of mascara which is the Rimmel Scandal eyes Reloaded in the shade 001 Black.
Brows I use the Eyelure Brow pomade N*20 Mid Brown, which is one of the best discoveries I’d ever made on one of my many random shopping trips. I find it leaves my brows look defined and filled without looking cakey.
Not a constant everyday thing but I do like to add some contour using the Collection contour kit and highlight sculpt. I’d like to add I’m no professional but it seems to do the trick. For a little colour in the cheeks I use make up Revolution baked blush in the shade ‘Loved me the best’, which is also another of my latest purchases. I’ve found I’ve never really explored different kinds of blush so if you have any recommendations feel free to leave a comment.
My favourite part, highlighter, I use the make up Revolution Strobe in the shade Flash. Which leaves this stunning glow. I find it’s very pigmented compared to others I’ve owned in the past, though I feel I needed to invest in a fan brush to reach its full potential.
Last part to complete this look is lips and for this I like to switch it up day to day but my main four are: * Collection Velvet Kiss lip cream in the shade Caramel 2,* MUA LUXE Velvet lip lacquer in the shade Tranquility,* Loreal Paris lip paint/ matte in the shade 201 Hollywood beige, *Primark PS Velvet matte lipstick crayon in Nude Beach.
So here we have the finished look, all ready for what the day has to throw at me.
feel free to comment if you’ve used any of these products and if you have any suggestions on other products that would work just as well or would like me to try out.
